Let's bring on the questions! I've got answers!

It's a blast to travel with a group of fun people. At the same time, we know how hard it is to plan international travel with friends. Between varying work schedules, budgets, and personalities, it can be super frustrating to try to organize trips with multiple people. This is why I do this! For you all!

QUESTIONS

  • Who are the trips for? Anyone and everyone! This is a safe space for everyone to feel comfortable and safe. We connect way before the trip so everyone has time to meet everyone and feel like you're already friends before we leave!

  • How many people go? between 5 and 15 people. I cut the number of people on each trip to cultivate a sense of togetherness without making you feel like you're a herd of cows! 😂

  • What are the sleeping arrangements like? So what makes my trips so different is I try to get everyone their own room and put that into the price. I also show pricing for if you don't mind sharing a room and want to get a discount! For Double occupancy you can share with a friend, or be partnered up with people. I send out a questionnaire to ask you about you, so I can pair you with someone who's similar to you! (Like: I like to stay in with a book or just chill, I'd like to go out after the day, etc. This way we don't pair someone who wants to go to the club, with someone who wants to go to bed early and wake up early!) Trust me this works out better for everyone.

  • Will I have free time? Absolutely! While most of the trip is planned and you can see the itinerary, there will definitely be free time and as a cancer myself, I LOVE me some alone time to re charge! I try to incorporate that into my trips.

  • Is this a luxury trip? My specialty with travel is finding the best bang for my buck! You won't BELIEVE the amazing stuff you can find for a good price. So we're not luxury, but not budget. I pick when when it's worth it to splurge. So we might stay in not a 5 star hotel, so we can do a hot air balloon ride instead or rent out a whole yacht etc and make it worth it! Ps I DO offer luxury trips just ask about them.

  • What is the general age rage of people who attend? It's been all ages from 22-68. Some people are only as old as they think they are! If it's a more adventurous trip or there's extra physical movement, I WILL let you know and it will be posted on the trip page.

  • What about flights? Our trips will never include flights to and from your destination. This allows you the freedom to do as you please and fly business class or use your points or come from one location and fly home to another.

  • Will I need a visa? Depending on the country yes! Sometimes we cover it for you in the price, and we will ALWAYS let you know if it's included. Another note:

  • Please also make sure your passport is up-to-date and valid for at least 6 to 12 months for the trip (6 months is the bare minimum and is a requirement at airports. This means the EXPIRATION date. If your passport expires in May of 2024, you need a new one BEFORE you go on the trip. If your passport expires in 2029, you're fine ; )

  • Why is my payment non-refundable? Our vendors - hotels, drivers, guides, excursion companies, etc. - require upfront commitments that we must adhere to. When we offer a package to you we have to ensure, through good-faith payments, that you will attend the retreat.

  • If I change my mind do I get a refund? It is a commitment to bring these experiences to our guests as we plan months in advance for your arrival. When you make payments towards your trip we in turn make payments to our vendors for your accommodations, activities and more hence why we need advance notice if you are going to cancel your trip. For cancellations please provide us with at least 60 days notice. We provide solutions such as free and flexible trip transfers, credits for future trips and more when we are given early notice of cancellation. Unforeseen situations may come up and this is why everyone gets travel insurance! Your travel insurance will have you covered and protected!

  • When should I arrive? With many international trips there is a time-zone change, as well as jet lag! I encourage participants to show up at least a night ahead. You can stay at the hotel or find somewhere nearby you would like to stay. I am happy to refer you for any days on the back or front end, just ask! I will always get there early.

  • Although day 1 is always arrival day- it is also always a day to relax by the pool, sip a cocktail, meet your fellow group, take a nap, kick the jet lag and get settled in, so if you cannot afford the time ahead just please arrive by morning as I start with a welcome day the first day in the afternoon/evening and you wont want to miss it!

  • Please note: Day 2 we start promptly in the am and we encourage you to be ready and rested for this day!

  • I am ready! Now what? YAY! You are going to have the BEST time!!! Once you've decided which trip you want to join, click the book button on the trip page. All booking are submitted on a conditional basis, meaning your trip is not confirmed until we have approved you and received your payment (deposit or full). Once confirmed, you will receive an email with next steps.

  • If you pay in full, your spot and price are guaranteed and you're all set! If you only want to pay the deposit, you will receive automatic payment requests at 90 days and 60 days before the trip.

  • Do NOT book your flights until you get the ok from me to do so, and make sure to check the trip details to see if you need to arrive by a certain time.

  • We'll be sending you lots of check ins and reminders and info leading up to the trip so you don't have to worry!

  • If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me an email or text. If you want to talk to me on the phone first just let me know and we will schedule a call.

  • Do I need travel insurance? YES. You cannot come on the trip without it.

  • We strongly recommended the coverage to include cancellation, interruption, and baggage and personal effects coverage, emergency medical and evacuation. $200,000 coverage policy.

  • Trip cancellation coverage covers you for unforeseen and unexpected events that arise PRIOR to departure. From the time you purchase your insurance – to the moment you leave for the airport, you’re covered under Trip Cancellation. Every insurance policy is different, so it is crucial to read through the coverage that you’re purchasing. However, most Trip Cancellation packages will cover you for anything that comes up that IS NOT pre-existing. I.e., You fall and break your leg 2 weeks before departure, covered. You lose your job a month before departure, covered. Etc. (please contact your specific insurance company for specifics as every package is different).

  • Cancel for any reason insurance? Some insurance providers offer a plan called “Cancel for Any Reason”. With most cancellation policies you can only make a claim if you are canceling due to an insurable reason (ie. medical, fire, accident etc). With “Cancel For Any Reason”, you don't need to have a reason. Just because you changed your mind, is reason enough! Just be aware most “Cancel For Any Reason” policies will cover you for 50-75% of your non-refundable portion, Talk to your insurance provider for more details.

  • Ive used World Nomads many times and like them.

  • Luggage? Luggage handling is not included. We do recommend you pack light. Mainly because you will be responsible for carrying your own luggage on and off any combination of trains, ferries, and public transportation or anywhere else. Accordingly, please limit your bags to what you can comfortably manage by yourself. Try to pack light and thank me later!
